Title: Observing Stillness

This piece is a simple still life with that special touch that God does in some of my paintings: it has faces in it! I was enjoying using a sort of watercolor approach to the background, and the acrylics formed little faces here and there that seemed to be watching. It was fun for me to do the wavy glass of the large vases, but even more fun to see these impish little guys form under my brushes. Thus the play on words for the title of the painting, noting the ones observing the still life, or: observing stillness. :-)
