Title: Momma Bear

There's an old adage about the wisdom of not messing with a mothers' children if you know what's good for you, "like a momma bear with cubs", - in other words, unless you want to get hurt! I personally adore polar bears. On a TV special I learned that they are one of the few wild creatures with no natural fear of man, and would just as soon eat you as look at you! So, although I will not get close enough to one to personally verify that, I love the way they look, the way they move, the way they play. They seem majestic to me, and this one, raised up on her hind legs to show she is fully aware of the viewer - not yet alarmed, but ready to protect her cubs if necessary - is a great symbol of mothers everywhere who guard their children from harm, or even potential harm.
