Title: Love Lingers

This painting is done almost entirely with palette knife. It began as a teaching exercise, placing large areas of paint on the canvas randomly and then creating from those two colors what was "seen" emerging from the patterns. Love Lingers is the first of the Yesteryears Series, done with a limited color palette. Two people from some bygone era, obviously loving one another, perhaps husband and wife, create a serene atmosphere and a feeling of home and connection.
