Title: Creation of Adam Revisited

This was a commission piece, taken from Michelangelo's famous rendering of Father God and Adam, an amazing fresco on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It interprets our Father's skin color as dark as an African American's, creating Adam a Caucasian man. I personally believe that our God is so gloriously colorFUL and emanates such brilliant light that when we reach heaven, we will see in Him colors we have not yet even imagined, and that it is small-minded of us as humans to claim one skin color or another as the 'right' one for Him, or for mankind. He is so much bigger and more glorious than we can conceive, interpret, claim or imagine!!! I hope this piece either stretches you, or affirms what your heart already feels about Him.
