Title: Unadorned

I was watching TV and kept seeing a commercial with a young woman who appeared to have little or no make-up on, and the very blonde, pale beauty associated with times gone by.  I used her look as the reference point for the beginning of this painting.  My woman is a little older, more mature, and softer than the girl on TV.  I wanted to show the timeless beauty of woman, without the modern trappings, without reference to jewelry or fashion trends.  She doesn't have Maybelline lashes or CoverGirl foundation, no diamonds from Jerrod's nor a designer gown.  She is simply lovely just as she is, unadorned.   1 Peter 3:1-4
