Title: Lion of Judah #5  Winter Lion

Because the Summer Lion is so colorful, I continued to desire to express the way I had first seen Him in the bark of the tree on that stark winter day.  As this painting formed, I felt that here is our Savior in the dark nights of our soul, saying that He is still nearby.  Even when it is difficult to believe He is with us, when the times are hard or we are stricken with feelings of abandonment, if we will look, there in the night we will see His face.  In our hour of need He will appear.  When we look at the ordinary things around us, He will show Himself there, standing strong on our behalf.
